Job Description

Qualifications:

This role will focus on the development and testing of new metallization products and processes in the areas of electronic and industrial metallization. It supports project development of new products through experimentation from assessment through to implementation Your key responsibilities:• Evaluate and refine new metallization products via iterative testing and analysis• Compliance with environmental health and safety best practices• Conduct experiments and evaluations independently and as part of a team while exhibiting a strong commitment to safety at all levels• Attention to detail and procedure as defined by best practices within the metallization group• Participate in team approach to product development by sharing knowledge, ideas, and creativity

Responsibilities:

Your qualification profile: Technical:• Excellent practical laboratory skills are required• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or other physical science subject is required• Experience with electrochemistry or electrochemical techniques, inorganic chemistry, corrosion science, surface science and/or metallization techniques is a plus• Good problem-solving skills and ability to quickly become competent in an unfamiliar area of work• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary• Excellent time management skills and strong bias for action• Experience with analytical techniques such as SEM/EDS, XRF, XRD, wet chemical techniques, and surface analysis methods is a plus 

Interpersonal skills:• Strong team player• Strong attention to detail• Must also be able to work independently with limited supervision• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to team members and management on all aspects of program activity 

Environmental Health and Safety:• Maintains a high level of safety awareness and an active voice for improving EHS issues• Strong commitment to core safety values and best practices for safety including review of risk assessments, job safety analyses, standard operating procedures and MSDS
