Responsibilities:

Job Description:The Client IT Disaster Recovery Program recovers infrastructure and applications residing in multiple data centers, Cloud, and remote site locations. This position must ensure Client is prepared to recover IT infrastructure and applications from a Disaster according to RTO (Recovery Time Objectives) and RPO (Recovery Point Objectives) guidelines. Communicate, drive, and evolves the Disaster Recovery technical program, guidelines, and DR requirements across IT. You will assist the DR Analyst’s n technical issues and strategies to improve recovery planning and reporting. This includes the Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Strategy plan, the decision criteria for Disaster Recovery classification tiers, validating Application Recovery Plans (ARP) & Technical Recovery Plans (TRP). You will validate the technical solutions and plans in place are following the established Client DR Guidelines. Drive mitigation to risks as they are uncovered through testing by working with technical teams to identify actions required and work with the technical teams to implement the needed changes to mitigate those risks. Some travel required for DR Exercises 2 times a year. Knowledgeable in the following technologies: Unix, Wintel, Virtual Server technologies, database replication, Zerto, disk-based replication technologies, snap shots, networks, cloud technologies, Citrix, SaaS, F5, etc. 

Responsibilities:• Drives Disaster Recovery Technical processes in place by collaborating with stakeholders to build greater awareness of the IT Disaster Recovery technical solutions in place, identify potential gaps through regular testing, and develop mitigation strategies to reduce exposures in meeting the business recovery requirements. Constantly looking for way to improve upon what is in place. Works closely with off-shore teams to improve operational processes and automation.• Guide internal IT Technical Towers (e.g., Network team, Application teams, Database teams, Storage Team) and business application teams on Disaster Recovery planning procedures to ensure all requirements are considered, mitigated, and validated through testing. Identify risks and recommend improvements based on post exercise report results.

• Collaborates with Client IT Architecture and Engineer teams as they design Disaster Recovery solutions for infrastructure and applications to ensure Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can be met.• Key Lead when planning Disaster Recovery Exercises and activity participates to manage and assist with proactively planning with all stakeholders to ensure all teams are ready and issues can be quickly worked through, RTOs and RPOs are met.• Oversee and lead technical recovery-training activities and provide on-going educational opportunities through hand-on pre-exercise planning activities and hands-on recovery rehearsals.

• Develop maturity metrics: 1) measure the effectiveness of overall IT DR program solutions 2) evaluate the adequacy of TRPs developed for the critical applications and recovery technology solutions and 3) assist with tracking program improvements year over year using the Service Now BC/DR Software Tool.

• Assist with the response to audit (internal/external) and customer inquiries regarding Client Disaster Recovery Program.• In the event of a Disaster, this position will assist with leading the IT Disaster Recovery Command Center, providing 24x7 management support and timely communications to the IT Executive Leadership throughout the recovery effort.
