Client Technology and Solutions Development, located in Boulder Colorado, is seeking an experienced zOS systems programmer (IBM Mainframe Systems technical skills and knowledge).
* This role is for an experienced Systems programmer, not an application developer/programmer. The candidate needs to be a systems expert with experience.
* Successful candidate will be performing the tasks of a zOS systems programmer maintaining and upgrading the zOS Operating System and supporting users.
* This assignment is a hybrid position, located in Boulder Colorado (free parking), where the candidate may need to come on site periodically.

The experienced z/OS systems programmer candidate will join a small team of technical system experts who manage, upgrade, and support IBM zOS Mainframe systems. The Development Support team provides systems, expertise, and support to Development professionals who are responsible for multiple stages of development from requirements definition, architecture, implementation, and customer support for software and hardware print products.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Mainframe zOS systems software programming experience and expertise.
* Experience working with hardware to include a basic understanding of FICON/ESCON connectivity, DASD architecture [alias (PAV) management, cryptographic coprocessors, data encryption techniques] and virtual (VTS) tape libraries.
* zOS experience with catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS Filesystems, Unix System Services, RACF, JES parameters, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB members.
* zOS SYSPLEX management including couple dataset definition and coupling facilities.
* Dataset/Storage/Disk/Tape management (allocation, backup, restore, etc.) including DFDSS, DFSMS storage constructs, DFHSM Mgmt/Cleanup, DFRMM, XCF, System Logger, etc.
* Ability to debug and resolve Mainframe operating system software issues (across older to current z/OS levels).
* Work well in a team environment.
* Ability to work independently as needed.
* Ability to teach and assist users and other team members.
* Availability to work some weekend / off-shift coverage and maintenance windows.
* Deep knowledge of zOS and JES System Programming.
* RACF Administration Experience; Userids, RACF User Groups, Resources, KeyRings, etc.
* IBM Software Installations: ServerPacs using zOSMF, CBPDO, any related IBM Software product installs and customization.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* DFSMS Administration: ACS Routine modification through Activation; Construct modifications, additions (DataClass, MgmtClass,StorClass,StorGrp)
* Familiar with iSeries would be a plus
