TITLE: Customer Debug Engineer (Sr Eng)
We are looking for a self-motivated Customer Debug Engineer interested in working with Client’s latest cutting-edge technology in the gaming and client product segment.
THE PERSON:
As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for the following:
• Working knowledge of Graphics, Media, Power Management, PCIe related debug related processes
• Experience working across internal and customer teams to drive problems to resolution
• Collaboration with Client global teams to understand and reproduce customer issues
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills with external customer/partner contacts
• Utilizing debug tools (e.g. WinDbg, hardware debug tools, etc.) to narrow down and root cause customer failures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Triage and debug customer related observations, communicate needed information to internal dev/pm stakeholders, and ensure work
• Support the resolution of sophisticated, novel, and non-recurring problems
• Engage external engineering partners in joint debug sessions
• Support design, validation, and architecture teams for content coverage, validation, and debugging
• Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 5 to 10 years of experience actively debugging and managing silicon product Windows issues.
• Experience inclusive of any of the following areas:
o Memory functional and protocol validation and/or debug.
o Graphics (or other kernel driver) experience.
o Windows power management sub-system.
• Experience with post silicon validation methodologies
• Experience of developing programming languages such as Python scripts
• Experience with Windows debug tools – WPR/ETL, WinDbg
• Experience managing issue resolution forums
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
