As a CNC Set-up Consultant, you will educate employees in the best practices for machining parts and set-up procedures to drive productivity in the department. A successful candidate will provide support and train CNC Operators in proper set-up and operations of CNC equipment and assist with the inspection of equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide and support operators through set-ups and train them as needed.
• Support Training Coordinator with documenting set-up procedures and standard work for various machines in the CNC departments.
• Partner with union employees to train and coach them on proper procedures. May be required to assist operators in the day-to-day troubleshooting of CNC equipment to improve machine output.
• Assist in the development of training documents to include video recording of procedures as needed.
• Review operator run procedures to identify productivity improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate classroom training sessions as needed.
Qualifications – External
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating and setting up CNC machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with training and/or supervising others
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work a flexible schedule
• Experience within Union environment
