What schedule is the candidate required to work? Rotating Shift Work / 8 week schedule

At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? o Weather situations dictate overtime as well as having to fill vacant shifts to ensure staffing levels are adequate.

Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing): o This role is responsible for service restoration and distribution switching activities using extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems including technical knowledge of operations and switching practices. Ensures all reporting is completed to keep management informed of system conditions, circuit, outages, key and critical customer interruptions, and extended outages. Communicates with on-call/duty field and office personnel on status of distribution outages and service restoration efforts. Will complete the Switching Supervisor Training Program to become ROC switching certified within 12 months. Shift-oriented workforce.

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include: • Preferred experience with and in combination of, dispatching, emergency services, military experience, complex database management, and customer service. • Understanding of the Electric Distribution System • Skill: Interpersonal; strong written and verbal communications; analytical; personal and mainframe computer applications. • Abilities: Independent and sound problem resolution; address multiple tasks simultaneously; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; Leadership abilities • To meet optional needs, selected candidates must be available and committed to working a flexible 24/7 shift schedule as well as overtime and storm callout as business needs require.
