o Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

• Nice to Have Skills:
o Preference for candidates with nuclear design quals but will consider candidates with relevant fire protection system design experience and/or previous design qualifications and be willing to assist establishing a current design development qualification (certification)
o Previous experience with Simplex FP systems is a plus
o Fire protection system troubleshooting experience a plus
o Possess or meet the eligibility requirements for Grade of Professional Member of Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).

• High Level Project Overview:
o Perform subcontractor FP System new install design reviews
o Facilitate Commonwealth of VA, Local county staff design document reviews
o Perform in-process walkdowns to ensure compliance with all Commonwealth/Louisa County Codes
o Support Commonwealth of VA/Louisa County inspector walkdowns
o Augment North Anna Fire Protection System Engineer work backlog: Monitoring installed FP System performance, support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, emergent FP system performance troubleshooting


• Required Years of Experience:
o 10 years of related experience.
o Experience as a fire protection engineer at a major commercial, industrial, or nuclear facility with a strong background in fire suppression and fire alarm system design.

• Education:
o Minimum of Bachelor in Science
o BS or MS degree in fire protection engineering from an accredited university or college
