Industrialization Support Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead Industrialization Projects:
• Oversee industrialization projects for Client Aircraft Engines.
• Manage and support Client’s New Product Introduction (NPI) processes at various suppliers.
• Lead the Industrial Validation Process from project kick-off to validation of product and process robustness.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain) to achieve industrial validation.
• Prepare final validation packages with suppliers, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and Validation Dossier (DVI).
• Monitor action plans to ensure alignment with Client project milestones and deliverables.
• Identify potential production or project deviations, define action plans, propose solutions, and manage implementation.
• Ensure suppliers adhere to correct specifications and quality documents.
• Validate corrective actions with suppliers and Client teams.
• Implement necessary metrics and indicators to track industrialization projects.
• Support suppliers in developing recovery plans and solutions.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with turbine airfoil suppliers and their respective teams.
Ensure Smooth Transition to Production:
• Prioritize supplier support to ensure dedicated capacity for Client.
• Collaborate with suppliers on production certification through DVI and FAI procedures.
• Assist suppliers in ramping up production capacities.
• Report and address logistics and quality issues encountered during development.
Improve Product KPIs:
• Facilitate communication between Client design engineers and suppliers to ensure manufacturable product definitions.
• Encourage concurrent engineering approaches when beneficial.
• Manage the reduction of non-quality events in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and suppliers.
• Support Client Purchasing and Quality teams with technical aspects of NPI production.
• Assess new suppliers' capabilities in industrialization and production of NPI.
Profile:
• Education: Engineering degree from an accredited university.
• Preferred Experience:
• 3+ years in blades casting and manufacturing production
• Experience in aeronautical casting alloys (Nickel and Cobalt base).
• Experience in aerospace industry and supplier relations
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project management expertise.
• Ability to travel frequently (20% to 35% of the time) to various suppliers in the USA.
• Proficiency in production tools analysis.
• Ability to anticipate actions and questions.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different locations and needs.
• Technical drawing reading skills.
• Miscellaneous:
• Proficiency in Windows tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Confidentiality regarding Client activities and action plans.
• French language skills are appreciated but not mandatory.
