Qualifications:

-Must be at least 18 years of age.-High School Diploma required.-Minimum 3-6 years of relevanet experience.-Previous experience with medical devices preferred, but not required.-This job operates in both a R&D testing lab and professional office environment. This job includes operating a variety of testing equipment and routinely uses standard office equipment.-While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.-Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 pounds.-Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.

Responsibilities:

-This position is for an Engineering Technician 2 who will perform work that is mechanical in nature to support R&D development and verification efforts.-This is an intermediate level position where the individual gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Work is occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.-Perform product/component testing and inspection of moderate scope or degree of difficulty.-Performs work of moderate complexity for the development, documentation, and validation of test methods.-Interfaces with internal customers in support of performed work. Participates and contributes to decision making process of limited impact to overall projects.-Participates in training, PWI's (procedure work instructions), SOP's (standard operating procedures), and best practices related to medical device development.-Performs and may identify test equipment calibration and maintenance.-Performs and may identify work related to process improvements in the lab.-Performs and may identify work related to 6-Sigma and Lean initiatives in the lab.-Collects data and performs data entry with integrity.-Work on special projects as assigned.
