Responsibilities:
The Environmental coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing air emissions, hazardous waste, water discharges, chemical reporting, and stormwater management. Asphalt roofing manufacturing is among the most highly regulated sectors in the industry, requiring dedicated resources to manage complex and evolving requirements.
This position is responsible for executing compliance tasks under CAER, GA-EPD, NDMR-GA, TRIME, and applicable state and local programs; maintaining the environmental compliance calendar; coordinating permits; submitting required regulatory reports; and acting as a regulatory and management liaison in coordination with corporate EHS. The role also leads site environmental data management, internal reporting of performance indicators, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and environmental training. In addition to regulatory responsibilities, the Environmental coordinator oversees site sustainability initiatives and reporting, which are increasingly critical to corporate objectives and customer expectations.
