Qualifications:

Education: Preferable Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field. Experience in a high-volume food service environment is preferred.
Certifications: ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and best practices.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform routine inspections of food preparation and service areas to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
Monitor Food Safety Practices: Oversee food handling, storage, and preparation processes to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of all food products.
Develop and Implement Policies: Create and update food safety policies and procedures to align with current regulations and best practices.
Training and Education: Provide training to food service staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
Allergen Management: Ensure proper labeling and handling of allergens to prevent cross-contamination and protect guests with food allergies.
Quality Management System: Continuously maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) on site to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team, management, and health department officials to ensure a safe and compliant food service environment.
