Description:
With guidance from supervision, assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
- Required: experience performing molecular cloning of genes into expression vectors
- Required: at least one year of research experience outside of lab course work
- Required: ability to receive constructive advice, take and follow directions carefully,
clearly communicate findings and issues as they arise, and willingness to
provide advice and suggestions
- Preferred: experience working with yeast and performing yeast two-hybrid assays
- Preferred: experience working with plant systems such as tobacco and soybeans
