Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Maintenance Millwright
Millwright skills include installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. Using specialized tools, such as welders and power tools. Tasks include;
Moving and relocating machinery and equipment
Service and repair/replace bearings, gearboxes and transmission belts and pulleys
Service and repair/replace product conveyors, bucket elevators, valves
Service other industrial equipment such as; pneumatic pumps (blowers), reciprocating equipment, processing equipment, industrial fans, etc.
Troubleshoot causes of failure
Disassemble and assemble machinery/equipment

· Works within established safety standards and practices

· Troubleshoots mechanical failures

· Repairs and rebuilds pneumatic pumps and airlock valves

· Maintains conveyors, auger systems, milling and bulk product filling and conveying equipment

· Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Recommends changes, modifications or up-grades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance

· Reads equipment drawings and documents

· Documents work, modifications to equipment etc.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

· VO Tech. or Millwright training is preferred

· The candidate must have a strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standards.

· The candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within industrial maintenance.

· The candidate should have experience with industrial machinery, conveying equipment, safe rigging practices, pneumatics, cutting, grinding, fabricating and welding.

· Good communication skills, trainable and able to work under time constraints.

· Applicant must have regular, prompt attendance.

· Applicant must be able to work weekends, holidays, on call; day or night when on call.

· Applicant must be able to work in all-weather conditions

· Applicant must be able to wear personal protective equipment, PPE

· Have the ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, working with heights, bending, kneeling, flour/wheat dust environment and non-climate-controlled environment.
