Maintenance Technician. - 3rd shift - Sunday night –Friday morning - 11:00pm-7:30am

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING EXPEREINCE 

General Summary:

Position is responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair and/or maintain all equipment in good operating condition as quickly and accurately as possible; while keeping associated costs to a minimum and meet plant goals.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

Completes projects with minimal guidance showing a proactive attitude to design and installations.

Troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation. Dismantles and examines devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairs or replaces defective parts.

Troubleshoots and repairs input/output devices using PLC systems.

Troubleshoots, completes, designs, upgrades and installs electrical equipment, circuits and systems.

Troubleshoots, repairs/replace electrical components at the component level.

Sets up and operates shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder. etc. Uses hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify orrepair parts and equipment.

Installs new or repairs/modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.

Improves reliability and up time of all equipment. Takes a proactive approach toequipment issues with a preventive maintenance mentality.

Operates the cooling water and waste water system in compliance with EPA regulations.

Operates forklift and hydraulic working platform as needed.

Research essupplies, parts and machines needed to complete work orders.

Assists in organizing and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts.

Performsand documents work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.

Documentswork completed. Contributes to upkeep and updating of required paperwork suchas records, maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, PM logs, etc.

Supportsthe vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.

Follows applicable ISO, Safety, Health and Environmental rules and guidelines while performing any procedure.

Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical/Environ. Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feelobjects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear,and taste or smell.

Occasionally required to sit.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionallyhandle up to 250 pounds.

Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glassesand shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection,chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with the exception ofhigh noise areas. Proper safety personnel equipment needs to be used whileperforming this job and that equipment is dictated by the plant Safetyguidelines.

Occasionally works in heights exceeding 30 feet.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wetand/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, riskof electric shock, vibration, non-hazardous chemical agents, and outsideweather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanicalparts.
