"Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.- Inspect and maintain the performance of all mechanical equipment supported in the manufacturing process at a plant-Determining problems in manufacturing that create production issues and find and implement solutions for those problems- Perform cost-benefit evaluations for new manufacturing processes-Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.-Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.-Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.-Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.-Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports. Statement of Work: 

 Provide support and be a technical expert for the Core Machine, Tissue Classic Embosser Laminator and Tissue Classic Winder zones.  Support will look like a combination of remote phone calls to support troubleshooting through losses and in-plant visits, which require traveling to our 5 Family Care Classic line sites (Albany, GA; Cape Girardeau, MO; Green Bay, WI; Mehoopany, PA; Oxnard, CA).  When in plant, the individual will need to be able to comply with all safety PPE and safe practice procedures, including but not limited to hearing protection, eye protection, bump cap or hard hat, cut resistant gloves, and steel toes and the ability to lock out and enter equipment.  The individual will be coaching, training, supporting troubleshooting and loss elimination.  Additionally, the individual will need to build capability at the sites in the following systems applicable to the equipment areas listed above: CPE, CIL, CL, TBO, DH, ECR, etc.  

Musts:

  • 10+ years Classic (Center Winder) Tissue Converting experience
  • Technical expert on the Core Machine, Embosser Laminator and Tissue Classic Winder
  • Familiar with the technically accurate set up including CPE and Centerlines.
  • Ability to identify defects on equipment and drive resolution
  • Strong troubleshooting, loss elimination thought process
  • Ability to train others either in classroom or more likely hands-on
  • Ability to meet the converting essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Wants:

  • Familiarity with ECR’s and ability to recommend ECR’s linked with losses
  • 15-20+ years of Classic Tissue Converting experience
  • Knowledge of GTC TPS
  • Project and upgrade readiness and support experience
