2nd shift: 3:20 p.m. – 11:40 p.m. (20-minute unpaid lunch) will train on 1st shift for 90-days or shorter
• Union Facility
Primary Function: Prepare associated paperwork, including nameplates, de-trash, perform associated manual and machining operations, subassembly, final assembly, test and button-up of Pump Motor Package (PMP) units, large designated Skydrol units and other designated high-volume pump families.
Working Procedures
1. De-trash the kit from the stockroom, perform floor stock maintenance, cycle count floor stock, initiate short requisitions, and over-issue tickets.
2. Perform all subassembly operations; machines and tools included and are not limited to lathe, presses, flat lap, polish, drill press, plating, potting & adhesive, and electrical soldering.
3. Perform all the final assembly tasks – similar to subassembly tasks.
4. Performing all test-associated tasks: Set-up test stand, set-up product, performing the hydraulic test, and performing electrical testing (Dielectric & insulation resistance). Create QC-203 test records.
5. Button-up: Nameplate application, lockwire, painting and masking, mechanical removing of cosmetic defects and alodining.
6. Works with minimum supervision.
7. Sets up and prepares work areas.
8. Is able to perform tasks in other work areas.
9. Works from complex blueprints and assembly processes. Can utilize personal computers to obtain proper documentation (paperless operation).
10. Maintains good working order for tools, jigs, inspection devices and other supplies and performs simple equipment repairs as necessary.
11. Production output shall meet or exceed established standards and shall conform to prescribed quality.
12. Trains fellow employees as required.
13. Participates in “continuous improvement” activities/efforts with the classification/deoartment
Fully Qualified: Previously held as fully qualified: OEM Mechanic or Aftermarket Mechanic.
Semi Qualified: 3 years of service as a member of UAW 1666 at ClientHydraulics Systems Division
