Job Description:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic failures on production equipment
Utilize P and IDs, assembly drawings, schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools to determine root cause
Troubleshoot PLC and SLC systems, motor starters, VFDs, SCRs, and control circuits
Restore equipment to safe, reliable operating condition with minimal downtime
Install, calibrate, and maintain RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, I P converters, and flow meters
Perform logic troubleshooting and basic SCADA navigation to support system reliability
Support configuration adjustments and operational tuning as needed
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration tasks
Tune equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions
Document maintenance findings and corrective actions in SAP or CMMS systems
Identify recurring failures and recommend long term corrective solutions
Required:
High school diploma or GED
5 years of hands on maintenance experience in food processing or regulated manufacturing
Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and control systems
Experience troubleshooting motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, pumps, and drives
Working knowledge of PLC logic troubleshooting
Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in a fast paced production environment
Create, update, and close work orders accurately in SAP
Record labor, parts usage, and repair details
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and participate in shift handoffs
Perform basic plumbing, metalworking, fabrication, and general building maintenance
Support HVAC systems and facility upkeep as required
Maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with GMP standards
Follow lockout tagout procedures and all site safety protocols
Participate in safety initiatives and report hazards immediately
Support Operators and production teams during changeovers and troubleshooting
Train new associates and team members on required maintenance skill sets
Assist operations with basic troubleshooting when needed
Contribute to production improvement and associate involvement initiatives
Schedule
13.5 hour days
Preferred:
Experience with Total Productive Maintenance practices
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
NFPA 70E training
Forklift certification
Instrumentation calibration training
Experience in highly automated production environments
