Job Description

Qualifications:

**This role follows the hybrid schedule: MTW in office, Th & F WFH**

  1. a) Education
  • Bachelors degree is a must have- in Accounting or Taxation preferred
  1. b) Training requirements
  • Transactional tax training on the multi-state tax laws and rules relating to the hospitality and lodging industry.
  1. c) Knowledge and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong accounting background.
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of various teams.
  • Must be detail oriented, proactive and have good analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Indirect State and Local Taxes
  • Ability to remain even keeled, and professional in stressful situations; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Works effectively under pressure while meeting applicable deadlines.

 

  1. d) Technical Skills
  • Excel proficiency - advanced (Must Have)
  • PeopleSoft (Preferred)
  • Vertex On Demand (Preferred)
  • Alteryx (A plus)
  1. e) Job experience
  • 3 to 5 years overall tax experience is a Must Have; preferably in hospitality/lodging industry; some public accounting experience is plus.
  • CPA license, a plus

Responsibilities:

The Senior Tax Analyst – Temp Position will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of monthly transactional state and local tax filings for Client. This role reports directly to the Global Indirect Tax Manager. This role involves collaborating closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax filing, staying up to date with current tax regulations, and providing support during tax audits. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying potential tax savings opportunities, and assisting in the development of efficient tax strategies to minimize liabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This temporary position offers valuable experience in a dynamic and growing company within the hospitality industry.
