Position Description:

This is a contract to hire position. All candidates must be eligible to convert to an FTE. The State is unable to sponsor any visas. Hybrid once a week in office.

The Security Architect's primary responsibility will involve the assessment of planned and existing infrastructure, applications, and end user devices against defined agency and state security and compliance controls.  This role includes identifying deficiencies and providing recommendations concerning perceived risk and remediation activities

The Security Architect will provide expert guidance and security oversight for projects and technical architecture implementations while ensuring the communication and escalation of security activities to leadership.

Working closely with the ISO, the Security Architect helps define security standards, procedures, operational activities, and technical architecture recommendations

Provide guidance to the Junior Architect who perform similar functions.

- Considerable working knowledge of information security technologies and best practices in the areas of risk assessment, compliance and vulnerability management. 

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of NIST 800-53r5.

- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of current Windows operating systems.

- Intermediate knowledge of Cloud Computing architecture and best practices
