Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Over 5 years of experience in physical security systems, access control, surveillance, or a similar field.

Extensive experience with physical security technologies, including access control systems, surveillance systems, alarm management, and unified security platforms.

CCure 9000 certification preferred.

Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain security technology standards across multiple locations.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Experience with security system integrations, including access control, VMS, radar detection, and biometric authentication.

Highly detail-oriented and organized, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, systems are maintained properly, and documentation is thorough.

Strong documentation and process improvement skills to maintain system records, track security configurations, and streamline workflows.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with IT, security operations, facilities, and leadership teams.

Preferred Skills:

Deep technical knowledge of CCure 9000, Avigilon, Sureview, EVOLV, and biometric access control readers.

Proficiency in SQL for querying security event data, generating reports, and optimizing system performance.

Experience optimizing and automating security system configurations for improved monitoring and response.

Familiarity with AI-driven security enhancements, video analytics, and predictive security models.

Ability to segment security devices onto dedicated VLANs and ensure compliance with network security best practices.

Experience conducting security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Physical Security Systems Analyst to support the maintenance, implementation, and modernization of physical security systems. This role involves troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, system support, and maintaining security technology standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, takes ownership of tasks, and contributes to optimizing security technology and processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

End-of-Life Equipment Implementation

 

Assist in replacing and deploying end-of-life security equipment, including cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.

Service and Maintenance Support

 

Troubleshoot and resolve security system issues to minimize downtime.

Provide ongoing maintenance support to keep security systems fully operational.

Backup for Lead Analyst

 

Serve as a key support resource for the Lead Analyst.

Ensure continuity of critical projects and system oversight when needed.

Updating Security Standards

 

Assist in updating and maintaining security system standards and documentation.

Ensure standards align with best practices and evolving technology advancements.

Technology Development and Testing

 

Evaluate, develop, and test new security technologies.

Participate in proof-of-concept testing to determine deployment suitability.

System Audits and Labeling

 

Conduct physical and software-based security system audits.

Ensure all equipment is labeled and replace batteries as needed.

Documentation and Reporting

 

Maintain accurate records for installations, upgrades, audits, and service activities.

Contribute to reports on project status, equipment health, and security system performance.

Support for Security Operations Center

 

Ensure alarm data and system configurations enhance SOC responsiveness.

Fine-tune settings to reduce unnecessary notifications.

Emergency Support

 

Provide assistance during outages, patches, and system changes.

Ensure security systems remain fully operational at all times.

Equipment Refresh Planning

 

Contribute to the annual equipment refresh cycle.

Assist in prioritizing outdated system replacements to maintain functionality.

Continuous Improvement

 

Develop and refine quick reference guides, training materials, and internal documentation.

Improve efficiency and enable self-resolution of common issues.

Security System Integration and Optimization

Assist in integrating access control, video management, alarm systems, and biometric authentication.

Ensure system configurations align with security best practices and operational needs.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation

Support compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Assist in identifying and mitigating potential security vulnerabilities.
