Job Description:
The Automatic Powder Coating Line Supervisor will direct, supervise, mentor, coach and develop the powder coating process for the finishing department. Product being powde3r coated is light gauge sheet metal panels and enclosures. This individual will oversee the powder coating on an automated finishing line as well as a stationary batch booth.
This position works 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is the shift they are supervising, must work some prior to the shift for preparation. This Supervisor reports to the Production Supervisor, and the Plant Manager.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Monitoring and requisitioning supplies and materials;
Implementing and/or Maintaining proper procedures, including Safety;
Maximizing production;
Quality control oversight;
Training new and existing staff in powder coating, preparation of parts, loading conveyor line, and mechanical assembly;
Work closely with company management, equipment manufacturers, and vendor representatives to troubleshoot processes, and to maximize performance of equipment and process
Requirements:
In order to be considered applicants must have:
Strong supervisory and people skills;
Ability to assist maintenance staff and/or contractors, in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or other problems;
Excellent verbal and written skills, and be able to keep production records.
MUST have complete working knowledge of
-Conveyor system
-Pretreatment Chemical wash system (3 or 5 stage) (monitor, record, and correct pretreatment chemical levels)
-Dry Off and Curing Oven operation – Gas with infrared experience preferred (monitor and correct dry off and curing oven temperatures)
-Effectual and Efficient Parts hanging techniques
-Proper powder spraying techniques
