JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for global print supply chain (from design to printing in production) for quality standard and issue resolution. Works across functions (Purchasing, MPD, Package Development) on printer evaluations. Collaborates to enable adherence and alignment of Print Quality Programs across functions for current printers (suppliers). Leads regular reviews with suppliers and business. Develops improvement plans to resolve print quality issues and scorecards. Leads root cause analysis of print quality issues in partnership with Package Development. Uses knowledge on latest pre-press and packaging software as well as digital technologies to present solutions and options to the business.

Assume 20 hours per week (up to 30 hours per week max

Work

  • Work with material suppliers and operations on design of new cartons, new blister / thermoforms, and corrugate structures for new commercial launches for customized products for skin care
  • Work with material suppliers and operations on new designs for cartons, blister / thermoforms, and corrugate structures to enable cost savings
  • Gather products for design of new structures and coordinate shipping and design iterative process with material suppliers
  • Set up and document test plans for testing and validation / qualification for new structures on operational packaging equipment in customization
  • Gather data that will enable the creation of specifications (may or may not be Client spec system) and/or work with material supplier on data needed for creation of specifications and work with specification writers to provide data needed to create specifications
  • Coordinate for execution of test plans with operations and document learnings plus write reports for next steps
  • Plan and coordinate project meetings associated with new structure design, testing and validation execution
  • Coordinate gathering data to support new product launch including verification of case weights and dimensions
