JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for global print supply chain (from design to printing in production) for quality standard and issue resolution. Works across functions (Purchasing, MPD, Package Development) on printer evaluations. Collaborates to enable adherence and alignment of Print Quality Programs across functions for current printers (suppliers). Leads regular reviews with suppliers and business. Develops improvement plans to resolve print quality issues and scorecards. Leads root cause analysis of print quality issues in partnership with Package Development. Uses knowledge on latest pre-press and packaging software as well as digital technologies to present solutions and options to the business
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
Nice To Have • accurate color management • Deep understanding of pre-press and printing and artwork file industry standards, print production, print processes and press capabilities, inks, materials/substrates, specialty inks/finishes, proofing, and print trials. Understanding of the color management, color development process, spectral color data and digital proofing. Munsell Test score of ‘Average Discrimination’ minimum, ‘Superior Discrimination’ preferred. Ideally 2- 4-year degree in Design-related field or 2-4 years of experience in design production and printing (Design Agency, Pre-Press Agency, Production House, Printer) within the CPG industry (preferred). Understanding of graphic file construction within Illustrator & Photoshop.
