Job Description

This is hands-on experimentation and basic science, i.e., Procedural work. Onboards to Client systems and performs the basic and critical experimental work of day-to-day applied research. Work is predominantly execution/procedural oriented, e.g., in a lab, in a plant or pilot plant (internal or external), at a clinical site, with consumers, and/or on a computer.

The complexity of prototyping projects range from relatively simple (instruction list of 4 to 5 tasks) to very complex (instruction list of 40 to 50 steps). Responsible for the hand preparation of raw materials. - involves measuring and cutting a variety of materials using hand tools and cutting boards, frequently very precise dimensions. - Hand assembly of prototype products and components - involves tedious sequential layering of precut materials and components onto a product pattern within very tight dimensional specifications and hand trimming the perimeter. - Hand modification of plant produced and purchased products – involves delicate hand disassembly or alteration of pre-made products, and subsequent hand reassembly using new materials or components to very precise dimensional specifications.

This can include removing, adding, changing of one or more components of the product. - Operating individual pieces of equipment as needed based on the project – specific training on each piece of equipment will be provided at the work location prior to use but must be in tune with careful placement of the products on the machine, initiating machine operation, careful inspection of the product, and monitoring equipment parameters such as pressure, stroke length, temperature, time, etc. - Manual inspection, packaging, and labeling of prototype products -- involves careful inspection of products for defects; sorting, counting and collating various different products; hand packaging the products; and marking the packages with labels


  • Objective/Project Background (Goods/ Service Description) (What are you looking to accomplish/achieve with this SOW) : Technical Stand at Procter and Gamble Technical Stand and Development Center runs an pilot operations. The operations include using different process/equipment’s and individuals will be trained to use the various equipment. 


  • Scope of Work: (What is the detail behind the project/SOW) Being able to support 40 hrs of production on a pilot line. Role Description(s) (Tasks to be completed and by whom): List the job role(s), specific tasks and how many people you need in each role (Note: number of people needed for time & materials SOW’s) The individual will be working to support a team on multiple forms and run multiple equipment/systems. Below are the important responsibilities This work is a vital part of the  1) providing support to production if direct to consumer product and 2) R&D process of developing foundational scientific understanding and evaluating new hypotheses to move a project forward 1. The candidate should work independently to execute day to day production runs, be part of team to produced product, running test methods, communicate observations/data in a clear and effective manner with multiple team members. The individual should have a can-do attitude. 2. This candidate will also need to be comfortable using digital tools such as, training will be provided and should have basic software skills using Excel, Word, outlook, PowerPoint. This is part of executing their daily work and to keep experimental records up to date. 3. Be able to work with a diverse team following Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Assurance and Safety guidelines, this is associated with the execution of the test program. 4. The candidate should have, • Web handling operator, (Web making and Web converting) • Worked on continuous process equipment • Cleaning – equipment/pilot area cleaning using written procedure • Follow written procedures, be able to communicate written and verbal. • Min 5 yrs industrial production/lab hands-on experience • Hands on power tools experience • Familiar with Safety, LOTO, general GMP's • Flexible timing - 7:00 -6:00 pm potential to either do SU or SD • Handling Raw materials (training will be provided) Duration of SOW (dates): 6 Months from start day
