Job Designation
The Quality Inspector II performs visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Works under minimal supervision, identifying simple to moderately difficult issues and oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements.
Job Core Responsibilities
• Perform visual/mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies and assemblies (in-process, final and shipping), as specified by Inspection Instructions, Workmanship Manual and/or Engineering Documentation, beyond the ability of lower grade inspectors.
• Review/audit test data results against Test Procedure, Engineering Documentation and/or Customer requirements and assures compliance.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation (records) for reporting acceptance/rejection of items inspected and/or tested.
• Prepare reports documenting results of special inspections, tests and problems; documenting trends on performance (visual, mechanical and functional).
• Identify basic areas of nonconformance to provide data to Quality and Reliability Engineering.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications : Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2 - 3 years or more of relevant experience
Skills/abilities : May require basic or proficient computer skills to include Microsoft and other various software applications.
• Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment
• Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
• Proficient computer skills

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
