SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must have a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice. Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the Patients’ residence.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- As necessary or applicable, supervision of CFYs temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.
- Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, _mely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.
- A ends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.
- Makes referrals to other disciplines, agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.
- Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team and the physician to select the most
appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
- Adapts program and/or plan of care according to the needs of the individual patient.
- Promotes a safe environment and enforces the elimination of fire and safety hazards.
- Orders supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
- Puts patient Service first, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service
in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
