Job Description
| Performs a variety of duties in the Materials Engineering Lab which may include everything from photography, sectioning of metals or composites, preparing metallurgical mounts, using chemical etchants, sanding, performing lab testing, maintaining lab equipment, components, devices, or systems. Be able to work from specifications, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions and be able to use measuring devices, (micrometer, vernier caliber etc.). Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance. |
| Looking for someone with mechanical ability, be able to understand engineering drawings a plus, be able to use basic hand tools. Ideally a recent graduate from a technical high school. Will train. |
