Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with minimum 1 year industrial experience in laboratory environment is preferred.• Willing and able to work overtime or shift hours to cover absences, sometimes on short noticeWork schedule for the job role on a biweekly basis working 5:45AM – 6:15PM with a 30min lunch break.Example:Week 1: Monday, Thursday, FridayWeek 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday• Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills• Good observational and record keeping skills with attention to detail, including use of computer-based spreadsheets
Responsibilities:
• Analysis of production and raw material samples for conformance with specifications using standard operating or non-routine procedures.• Make up and standardize chemical solutions used in laboratory, concentrations or formulations required in special tests.• Calibration and daily qualification of laboratory equipment.• Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties.• Exhibit sound EH&S practices. Proper use of PPE, understand process safety concerns in your laboratory area, and report EH&S incidents
