Qualifications:
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Supports MLO and Process Improvement projects at the plant and manufacturing line levels. Facilitates MLO efforts. Provides technical assistance to manufacturing and operations support functions to achieve maximum manufacturing Effectiveness, Product Quality and Food Safety.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess strong technical knowledge of dough manufacturing processes.
- Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of equipment used.
- Strong PC skills utilizing Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Wonderware and K-Base Studio and Maximo.

What are the typical decisions which this position must refer for approval?
- Major expenditures related to training supplies, all capital projects related to processing, quality and Lean manufacturing projects.
SCOPE INDICATORS:
- Meeting targets for improvement in Equipment Availability, Performance and Discrete Yield; and other Lean Manufacturing scorecard metrics.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to conduct visual inspections and move about in all areas of the plant.
- Required to see and hear well enough to understand Associates’ questions and respond to their concerns.
- Ability to communicate effectively and teach/coach concepts to a variety of demographics.
- Foreign Language skills are a plus as applicable to facility’s demographics.
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow and enforce all GMPs, BRC Food Safety and Quality policies.
- Report all food safety and defense incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detectors, screen or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage and pest harborage.
- Maintain product quality and food safety throughout all stages of production.
Responsibilities:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in driving Improvement through MLO.
- Identify specific areas of opportunity in production; prioritize and initiate actions to capitalize on savings.
- Conduct and maintain records of MLO meetings.
- Maintain the MLO System and ensure functionality of HMIs.
- Develop MLO job task PWIs across the plant and implement training.
- Maintain MLO PWI Training Matrix and all production training documentation.
- Facilitate MLO TAP/RCA teams, and coach teams for improvement.
- Conduct MLO Process Improvement Team training and facilitate MLO PITs and other project teams as required.
