Hours: 1st shift, 7am to 3pm, can be flexible (M-F)
Position overview:
In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day communication of material availability and alignment with Production Planning for interplant components and vendor services. As well as supporting all work related to interplant date management, Schedule Agreement creation/upkeep, inventory integrity and expediting of DMR/DMT related material issues.
As a Material Expeditor, you will:
· Participate in Assigned Department Meetings that support Material Flow or Material Planning specifically
related to Interplant components and vendor services.
· Become an expert in SAP P47 Modules pertaining to Material Planning.
· Support daily flow of DMR information to Interplant, timely DMT report out and material expedite from
QA issues.
· Drive Material awareness by populating shortages and sales impact daily in relation to interplant
components.
· Provide coverage for Department Planner in terms of CTB process, daily SAP activities including Order Conversions, MRP, QRB, COGI and others.
· Own Material availability by proactively chasing down interplant orders based on need by date.
· Work in tandem with Dept Planner and Supervisor on production pivots assuring clear interplant communication and date management.
· Become an expert in the creation of Nameplates along with the various transactions, ZM41, 261, MIGO_GI.
· Support execution of replenishment strategies for interplant materials through Kanban if applicable.
· Work with Buying team to escalate any known issues with vendor services.
· Address inventory discrepancies as they come up and proactively engage needed teams to drive action to fix the source including at Interplant locations and AW2.
· Provide timely information and updates to the Planning/Production team to drive Production Plan alignment.
· Become an expert in COGI investigations and Material Movements to maintain material integrity between the sites.
· Provide analysis on time and completion of monthly E&O Scrap involving Interplant components.
· Support other SC activities such as P.I and assigned Department activities such as RIE’s, or other assigned work to support Material Planning.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or Supply Chain role
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office products.
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 year experience working in an Engineer to Order environment.
· Prior experience as Material Planner
· Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP Planning and/or Purchasing Modules
